Say NO to more Speech and Thought policing
Sickening attempt to curb free speech and free expression in the name of "protecting" the "vulnerable"
Brace yourself for more speech policing and thought policing coming your way in the name of "protecting" the "vulnerable".
*******
Check this FaceBook post and this article by SBS (Australian government media). It is basically advocating for censorship in the name of “protecting” the “vulnerable”.
Here are some excerpts:
"Social media plays an integral role in Mia’s work. Her Instagram page and YouTube channel, What Mia Did Next, have 80,000 followers and subscribers."
"Deni has more than 60,000 followers on the platform and says it played a profound role in helping them come out as non-binary."
"Both Mia and Deni believe social platforms and creators should face tighter regulations, to help keep channels honest and protect vulnerable users."
“We're kind of fed up of seeing faces without pores, of totally made-up kind of bodies as if they've been stitched together. We're kind of getting sick of it. And we want real, we want authentic."
"The Butterfly Foundation wants a national inquiry solely focused on body image. It believes the issue won’t be fixed without greater collaboration between social media companies, NGOs and the government, as well as heavy investment in prevention programs."

Wow. These people much be leading such rich, privileged lives that their biggest problem is the photoshopped selfies posted by their fellow narcissistic "influencers" who bare it all bordering on pornography.
A National Inquiry? NOPE. If you are upset by other people's photos, just keep scrolling. Don't demand an inquiry into this and pave way for legislations which will solely be used to silence dissident voices.
Isn’t it funny how these “influencers” with over 60,000 and 80,000 “followers” who make an income out of their fanbase are now advancing an agenda which will invariably be used to silence no-name nobodies like some of us?
If you really want to help other young people, you should perhaps start with these: Stop taking selfies. Stop checking yourself out in the mirror all the bloody time. Focus on something other than your body's external appearance. There is this thing called soul. Focus on that.

This story is very similar to the one on which I posted a commentary thread on my twitter (account vapourised by twitter) several months ago. A woman with dysmenorrhea was seemingly worried about the misinformation on this illness on social media with some suggesting herbal treatment which she was opposed to.
If that sweety truly suffered from severe dysmenorrhea like I do, she would be willing to try anything and not use her medical condition as a cover to advance the elite's agenda to curb free speech and open discussion.
These privileged, rich, fairly functional and reasonably healthy people in the disability community are why some of us seriously ill crippled ones cop hatred and abuse.
#FreeSpeech #StopCensorship
Is there a better word or a more appropriate expression for these narcissistic influencers, than "Self-obsessed?” There probably should be.
